Former Everton -striker Moise Kean was taken to the hospital after he walked on his head during Fiorentina's defeat by Hellas Verona after an earlier blow.
Italy International Kean had been involved in a casual collision with Pawel Dawidowicz and Diego Coppola halfway through the second half and took a knee in the face so that he left a slice above his eye.
Although Kean returned to the field after treatment with his head, the 24-year-old soon fell and initially did not seem to respond before he was picked up on a stretcher in the 67th minute.
Fiorentina later confirmed that Kean had suffered a head trauma and was in the hospital for tests.
Kean made 32 Premier League performances for Everton and scored two goals in the 2019/20 season.
