Molly McCann was retired by a bonus-winning version in one of the most exciting fights at UFC London.
In the first round, Alexia Thaurara closed a rear naked choke to put an end to the UFC career of 'Meatball Molly, after the fight on accepting a message. Her victory was one of only three stops on a relatively flat night in the O2 Arena in London who broke records at the gate but fans left early.
Sean Brady's most important event submission of Leon Edwards has closed a relatively moderate evening in the British capital. And it earned him one of the four bonuses, which were given almost exclusively to the finishers of the night.
Alexia Thainara and Sean Brady win UFC London $ 50,000 bonuses
Although the victory of Sean Brady was the biggest result of the night and perhaps a rematch yielded with Belal Muhammad, it was the earlier main map that really excited fans. Alexia Thaurara sent Molly McCann in retirement with a first round entry after a comically long dance ring walk.
Elsewhere in the night, the entry of Chris Duncan of former Cage Warriors champion Jordan Vucenic was the only finish not to earn a bonus. Instead, Kevin Holland's impressive dominance of Gunnar Nelson earned him the extra payment day.
The first of the other two bonuses was handed over to the Shauna Bannon van Ireland for a stunning from the victory after he was brutally fell by a main kick of Puja Tomar. And the latter went to Brady for his impressive main event victory over the former champion and stopped him for the first time.
UFC London breaks records at the gate
Although fans left in large numbers before the main event was even over, the UFC still had a huge presence and gate in London. Edwards' defeat in combination with other heavy hometown nights for people like McCann and Mick Parkin provided a boring evening.

The O2 -Arena saw a full 18,582 sold -out presence with stars such as Jose Mourinho and Interim Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall. This caused a port of $ 4,711,410, which means it was the most profitable combat evening in the UFC history.
Last year a show in June in Louisville, Kentucky earned the record with $ 2.5 million, but that was overtaken earlier this year by UFC Seattle that earned $ 3,841,751. That was broken by the British crowd, who paid premium prices for tickets in London.
