Molly McCann shares ‘retirement post’ following UFC London loss and emotional speech

Molly McCann has ratified her MMA pension on social media after UFC London.

'Meatball' announced her decision to run away from the sport after UFC debutant Alexia Thainara literally danced to the cage before he tapped after scoring a first round of the victory over the English fan favorite in the O2 Arena.

Paddy Pimblett was seen in tears at Cageside while he saw his teammate break her big news.

Now Molly McCann gave a statement from social media that Pimblett and the rest of her team praised.

After an emotional final fight at UFC London, McCann shared a backstage photo of her team.

The next generation of head coach Paul Rimmer has helped 34-year-old in recent years to become a UFC-Superster, with some help from his under studies, Adam Ventre and Ellis Hampson, accompanied by Pimblett and his photographer.

“I will do the official pension post in a few days,” McCann wrote on Instagram.

“But I would not be anyone without the help of these men, took me to the moon and back, wore me through the highest highlights and the lowest lows. Thank you the next generation of Liverpool!

“My city my people my heart, I owe it all to this place xx”

McCann took out her gloves to indicate a pension before her last loss was officially confirmed.

During an interview after the fight with Michael Bisping, the scouser confirmed that she did it with MMA.

“UFC, Dana, Hunter, Mick, F —— – Hell, all of you,” McCann started.

“I started this sport at 24 hours, I walked into that gym with these three boys and I gave you all my F ——— – Heart and Soul, but tonight with that performance with someone in a week, it's not good enough, I don't just come here for a payment day, the UFC earns more, I earn more, I earn more and you all earn more.

“So from this little girl from Norris Green, who has to fight in these great arenas, thank you very much, look at the little girls who look at me at home, see what I was able to do, only two hands and two elbows and I had a good course.

“Thank you very much and Dana, if you ever need an ambassador to fly through Europe, I am good on the beer, I can talk to someone to sign a new deal, so thanks and goodnight UFC.”
