It was a winning start of the new Ligue 1 campaign for AS Monaco last weekend, whereby the Principality Club also became a member of an exclusive company in the process.
A 3-1 victory over Le Havre AC vaulted to the top of the table after the matches of Saturday, and they have now won the opening of inland fixture on four consecutive occasions. Their opening triumph was the 1,100th for Les Monégasques in the history of this competition.
That only makes Monaco the second French club that achieved that historical achievement in the top flight, with the other Olympique de Marseille, which has achieved 1,206 victories at this level.
The men of ADI Hütter are now unbeaten in nine consecutive games in this competition in the Stade Louis II. Since the Austrian was appointed Club Manager prior to the 2023-24 campaign, Les Monégasques has won 23 league matches in the principality, the joint highest count in that period from Saturday alongside reigning competition champion Paris Saint-Germain.
Hütter only suffered nine defeats at home since the takeover of Monaco boss of Philippe Clement in 2023.
Then Monaco Stade Pierre-Mauroy visits on Sunda, Y 24 August to face Lille OSC.
