Morgan Rogers urged Aston Villa to go for the Jugular against Paris Saint-Germain next week to keep their dreams alive to reach the semi-final of the Champions League.
With the Prince of Wales in the stands, Rogers Villa gave a shock in the French capital before stuck on both sides of the tranquility of Desire Done and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia PSG in the chair.
The stopping-time goal of Nuno Mendes makes PSG strong favorites to reach the last four.
But for Tuesday's second stage in Villa Park, Rogers insisted that the men of Unai Emery have the quality to turn the draw.
“There is a lot of faith in the dressing room,” said Rogers, who now has 13 goals this season.
“We have nothing to lose. Nobody thought we would win the draw in the first place. Why don't you just go for it? We definitely have the quality to turn things around. It's not ready yet.
'We are here for a reason, we are not here to just compete. We want to keep fighting and normally we have the quality to compete with every team in the world.
'It is clear that the score is not in our favor, but we still have a game and we will try to turn it around.
“We knew it would be difficult and knew how deadly they are. We didn't just want to come here and be spectators.
“It was difficult. They are really a good team and have stars everywhere. It's hard if you have to defend and fight so much.
“We did that, but in the end it was about the quality of them and maybe some mistakes from us.”
Villa Boss Unai Emery added: 'The third goal does not change. On 2-1 we still had to win the second stage and now it's the same.
'The timing of the goal is disappointing, but I am proud of the players and how we develop.
'Villa Park is our home. Hopefully we can feel stronger there and try to have more moments than today. '
