Match report
After a scoreless first half, Morocco found the breakthrough in the 51st minute when defender Nayef Aguerd jumped on a rebound after the header of El Yamiq was taken away from an Ezzalzouli corner.
Only eight minutes later, the hosts doubled their lead when Brahim Diaz was cool from the penalty place after Noussair Mazraoui was brought into the box. The composed finish of the Real Madrid -midfielder gave Morocco full control over the game.
Despite dominating possession with more than 80% in the first half, the North African side initially had difficulty breaking down the well-structured defense of Tanzania.
The visitors, coached by Hemed Suleiman, showed resilience and almost took the lead in the 42nd minute when Salum's Volley went in centimeters wide of Yassine Bounou's Post.
With this victory, Morocco remains at the top of group E, after he has won all five of their qualifying competitions. The result brings them closer to securing a place in what their seventh world cup performance would be.
The Atlas Lions are now unbeaten in nine consecutive matches, with an impressive defensive record with only two goals admitted in their last five games while they pay attention to 22 times.
