Motta opens up about shock Juventus sacking: I have experienced intense moments

Motta lasted only nine months in a three-year contract with his last game that was in charge, was a 3-0 defeat in Fiorentina, after he had beaten 4-0 last week by Atalanta. The Turin Club is from the Copa Italia, lost from PSV Eindhoven in the play-off round of the Champions League and is fifth in the Serie A-classification despite large investments in the summer transfer window.

Juventus confirmed the dismissal of Motta and the appointment of Igor Tudor on Sunday and now the ex-Italy International has released a short comment to Ansa on Monday morning and thanked those who supported him during his time in the club.

“I have experienced intense moments, always confronted with maximum determination and the desire to improve every day,” said the ex-Juventus coach.

“I thank the property for giving the opportunity to be part of this great club, the management and all the people at the club who supported me in my daily work.

“I also thank the players for their efforts and dedication from the first day. I wish the fans and Juventus the very best for the future.”

Tudor's first game that is in charge will be a home game against Genoa in Serie A on Saturday, where the Italian side will look to regain shape, Leapfrog Bologna and climbing in the Champions League places where many feel they belong.
