Jose Mourinho took another brutal wipe to the Turkish Super Lig and the press lost after his Fenerbahce side of the already banished Hatayspor.
Fenerbahce fell on a 4-2 loss on Monday and are now nine points behind title winners Galatasaray with one more match.
A challenging Mourinho, which the division has often belonged to Fenerbahce last summer, lashed out to reporters after the game and had his continental success in comparison with Turkish clubs.
The Portuguese boss said: 'In the last seven years I have played in two European finals. So in the last seven years I have played more European finals than the history of Turkish football together. '
Galatasaray is the only Turkish club that appears in a European final and defeated Arsenal to achieve the UEFA Cup in 2000.
Mourinho has since won six European awards. His last victory was the Europa Conference League with Roma in 2022 and he lifted the Europa League at Manchester United in 2017.
The 62-year-old also defended his results after a season in which Fenerbahce was second for the fourth consecutive year.
'Due to the results, only people who do not understand what football is, do not understand what the end of the season is [criticise us].
'The end of the season is painful for teams that have no goal. For people who fight for title for Europe, for relegation, the motivation goes every day. For people who lose the objectives, it is painful. '
He added: “We had a difficult summer because of players from the euros and who came very late for preparation.”
Two weeks ago Mourinho gave a witty answer when he was questioned by a reporter about the frequent changes in his side.
“I have 25 coins, I throw the coins in the air.” He said and threw his arms in the air in Mime.

Fenerbahce missed the title of Arch-Rivalen Galatasaray, but is a 20 point lead on the third placed SamsunSpor.
