Jose Mourinho remains the right man to take Fenerbahce forward despite their recent problems, says club president Ali Koc.
After seventeen games in his first season at the helm, Fenerbahce is already eight points behind Turkish Super Lig leader Galatasaray.
Mourinho's side are also in 21st place in the Europa League and are struggling to reach the knockout stages of the revamped competition.
However, Koc is not concerned about Mourinho's future and suggests the Portuguese boss will help Fenerbahce move forward in the longer term.

“Whether we are there or not, Jose Mourinho must continue to do his duty,” Koc told reporters.
“You said, 'If you can't become a champion,' we will continue on the path we believe in.
“As far as the coach is concerned, we will continue with the coach as long as we live.
“This issue of stability is very important. The man we have brought has quality.”
Mourinho branded the refereeing in the Turkish Super Lig a “scandal” and claimed the competition is “toxic” during his latest press conference rant this week.
Rivals Galatasaray had secured a controversial 2-1 win over Goztepe at the weekend, with Mourinho speaking out as pressure continues to mount on the iconic manager.
Mourinho will hope to bounce back when Fenerbahce visit Kasimpasa in the Turkish Cup on Thursday, before a crucial league match against Konyaspor four days later.
