UFC Vederweight Competier Movsar Evloev could be the following in line for UFC Vederweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, but the debate on the next title shot was a bit complicated after UFC 314.
Featherweights Yair Rodriguez and Jean Silva won big wins last Saturday at the UFC 314 head card in Miami. Rodriguez, a former interim title holder, wants to earn a potential rematch with Volkanovski after losing their title Unification Bout on UFC 290.
Silva is an emerging UFC star after an undefeated five-fast run in the promotion. The former Dana White's Contender Series -Solidly begged the matchmakers to give him the next title shot about Rodriguez and Evloev.

Movsar Evloev responds to Yair Rodriguez who may skip the line after UFC 314
Although Silva's title shot request will probably not be granted without a few more victories, Rodriguez's victory over Patricio 'Pitbull' has added another potential option for the next fight by Volkanovski. But Volkanovski promised in the run -up to UFC 314 to give Evloev the next title shot when he became champion.
Volkanovski has since played today in a recent interview with MMA on that attitude and admitted that the UFC 314 results make the title shot debate more difficult. Rodriguez mentioned Dibs on the next title shot in his availability after the fight media after breaking a two-fighting skid.
In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Evloev responded to the desired title shot of Rodriguez after UFC 314.
“Yair, if you want to fight for the title, you have to beat me first, and then you earn it,” Evloev told Rodriguez.
“I think it was the best fight for Yair Rodriguez forever, and with 'Pitbull' he is a dangerous opponent, but I don't think that's enough to fight for the title. Because he had his chance, and he just skipped it.”
Evloev defeated former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling in his most recent outing on UFC 310 in December. He was briefly connected to a potential collision with Aaron Pico before that was crushed by Evloev and his team.
Yair Rodriguez vs. Diego Lopes is perhaps the fight to do after UFC 314
As far as Rodriguez is concerned, he might be confronted this year with UFC 314 Headliner Diego Lopes in a no. 1 candidate fight. Rodriguez and Lopes came to the UFC 314 pre-Fight press conference, at a surprising moment between the two featherweights.
Before they fell to Volkanovski on UFC 314, Lopes earned recent victories over Brian Ortega and then Ige. After beating one of Rodriguez teammates earlier in his career, the tensions between Lopes and Rodriguez have reached new heights.
Evloev and Rodriguez make both intriguing cases for the next title shot of featherweight, and time will learn who will get the next crack at Volkanovski.
