Jota, 28, and his brother Andre, 26 – also a football player, who played for the Portuguese Second Division -side Penafiel – Both both died on Thursday after a car accident in Spain.
His Lamborghini Huracan had a band out when he tried to catch up with another vehicle – only ten miles across the border from Portugal.
The football world has merged to express their respect to the Liverpool star, whose funeral was held on Saturday morning in his hometown of Gomorah in Portugal.
Toffees -Baas Moyes and his assistant Alan Arvine belonged to those who were spotted in Anfield who paid their respect.
His visit to Merseyside came a day after Everton Youssef Chermiti and Beto – both born in Portugal – wreathed wreaths outside.
Jota died next to his brother when his Lamborghini had a band, catching another vehicle on the A -52 in Cernadilla near Zamora – only ten miles across the border from Portugal.
The car would have been rolled and broken into flames, with emergency services that cannot save the football duo. Jota's brother, Andre Silva, 26, played for Penaphile of the Portuguese Second Division.
Jota and Silva went to Santander to catch a ferry to Groot -Britain after Diogo was advised not to fly after pulmonary operation, it was reported in his home country.
His death, who throwing clouds of sorrow over the football world, came only two weeks after he was married to his girlfriend and mother of their three children Rute Cardoso in Porto, his home town.
Many of Jota's Liverpool teammates past and today attended the funeral service in Gondomar, Portugal, on Saturday.
Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Joe Gomez belonged to those who paid their respect, with Van Dijk and Robertson who wore flower tribute in the church.
Liverpool -Manager Arne Slot and various Portuguese internationals, including Bruno Fernandes, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves, were also present and joined hundreds of mourning people who stood the streets to honor Jota, who scored 65 goals in 182 performances for the last season.
Liverpool has sworn to make the number 20 shirt too immortal in the midst of calls from supporters to retire.
