Tens of thousands of fans of Manchester United and Tottenham have their travels on their way to Bilbao prior to the Europa League final between the two English clubs.
No fewer than 80,000 supporters from United and Spurs are expected in Bilbao for the final of Wednesday evening, in which the Spanish outlet El Correo suggests that the locals have braced for the British to 'colonize' the Basque city.
Achieving Bilbao has proven to be an extremely challenging task for fans in the midst of rising prices for flights, accommodation and matchday tickets.
But that did not prevent some people being willing to take obscure routes on the continent to see the bid of their team on European glory.
United Fan and YouTuber Flex mapped out his journey on X on Tuesday morning and he started taking a plane to Prague.
'Road to Bilbao has started! He placed. '1st Stop Prague LOL!
'Bring this trophy back and Champions League money to rebuild this team! Yanited !!! '
After he was touched in the Czech capital, Flex gave another update, writing: 'Airplane number 2! Madrid Bound. '
That would at least place him in the right country, for a last trip to Bilbao to complete his search.
In the meantime, a group of Spurs supporters decided that it first went to Paris, the best route was, as they wrote on X: “In France, next stop Bilbao.”
Three of the fans saw a beer holding while they looked to get into the spirit compared to what promises to be an exciting but nervy evening for both clubs.
One female United fan had the same idea to establish the nerves when she posted a photo of herself those two pints Madri held at the airport next to the caption: 'See you in Bilbao'.
With the flight rates by the minute, some supporters have made the decision to drive to Bilbao.
A Spursfan account gave an update about their progress and wrote on X: 'Bilbao Bound. An 8.5 hour drive from Lisbon. Coys! '
United and Spurs have passed both miserable Premier League campaigns and are currently 16th and 17 in the table respectively.
But they are only one match away from Europa League Glory, with the game on Wednesday with an estimated £ 100 million at stake.
The winners deserve a place in next season's Champions League and can improve their chances to land their top goals this summer.
However, the losers will be confronted for a season without European football and will probably have to enter into a limited budget for the upcoming transfer window.
