Manchester United is a summer transfer for a striker. The Red Devils are expected to land Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer by Le Havre.
Kana-Biyik, 18, is in the last weeks of his contract and, according to reports in France, traveled to Manchester to close a deal. The Red Devils would have defeated the competition from Monaco and Marseille for the teenager's signature.
United has already reached an agreement and are planning to borrow the attacker to FC Lausanne-Sport, a club of Ineos, for the season. The Premier League side wants Kana-Biyik to earn more experience on the field before he introduces him to their team.
De Sterret still has to make his senior debut and has made a single matchday team in Ligue 1. The player is the son of Andre Kana-Biyik who earned 80 Cameroon hoods in his career and the brother of Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik.
The movements see United focused to strengthen their team now and in the future. The club is also linked to movements for Matheus Cunha, Liam Delap and Victor Osimhen while Ruben Amorim tries to reverse the fortunes of the wrestling team.
The Portuguese coach has outlined how crucial the upcoming transfer window is for the Red Devils to launch an immediate improvement. The 40-year-old believes that they should benefit from no other summer distractions.
“I think it's crucial,” Amorim said last month. “I think we are trying to do everything as quickly as possible. If you look at the schedule of teams, we don't have the Club World Cup, so that means we're going to have a preset season
“If you look at the following years, we will have a World Cup then a European Championship. So this window will be huge to work on our base.
“I think it is clear to everyone here that will be crucial and we have to use it.
“We will not have a next preseason. It will not be the case. So we have to do everything quickly as possible to be prepared for everyone before the preseason to start after a season like this.
“We have to show something. That is not a debate.
So I don't want that conversation about we need a lot of time. We need time to win the competition, but we have to improve a lot after this season. “
