Manchester United has two weeks left in the summer transfer window and are confronted with a race by time to sell Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho
Manchester United started their Premier League campaign against Arsenal on Sunday – and although there were many new faces, the same old problems brought up their heads again.
Despite the fact that he spent £ 200 million on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, United could not find the back of the David Raya network. In the meantime, their problems continued between the posts, with Altay Bayindir in the middle of a debate on Monday after his mistake for the goal of Riccardo Calafiori.
Fortunately, there are two more weeks left of the summer transfer window for Ruben Amorim and his staff to tackle some of those problems. The problem for United is that they first have to sell some of their unwanted players before they can provide more reinforcements.
Unfortunately there are many moving parts because they try to find new houses for the Bomb Squad players who have been banned by Amorim. Here is the latter about those outputs – and who could come in.
Hojlund Exit complicated
Rasmus Hojlund was striking because of his absence on Sunday when we got a look at the new look-line from United. Hojlund was completely omitted from the team by Amorim and the club hopes to sell him before the window closes.
They are willing to take a considerable hit on the £ 72 million that they paid atalanta for his services a few years ago. And yet things are not that simple, with AC Milan sharp but not so sharp. United wants about £ 35 million for the young Danish striker, but would also consider a loan in this late stage of the window.
However, Milan has Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic as their top goal, although those negotiations have reached a stalemate. Everything is in the air, as Milan -sports director Igli Tare said: “Hojlund is a good option for us. We think of him, but in the transfer market you never know what could happen.”
Sancho and Garnacho delays
Jadon Sancho is another player United is desperate to get rid of, but his wages of £ 250,000 a week are problematic. After the relocations fell through to Juventus and Fenerbahce, it is now the turn of Roma to get frustrated.
The Italian club threatens to pull itself out of a deal in front of the winger, despite the agreement with a loan with an obligation to buy. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Sancho Roma has informed that he is investigating other options. He reportedly said no to Besiktas, where there would be a reunion with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the situation seems to run until the end of the window.
In the meantime, Alejandro Garnacho also remains a united player. Chelsea is enthusiastic about the winger, but must first sell Christopher Nunku to Bayern Munich. The German side has failed with a loan bid for Nunku because the blues want a permanent deal so that they can sign Garnacho or Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig.
UTD insisted at Donnarumma -deal to hijacking Donnarumma
Gianluigi Donnarumma is said to have agreed the conditions with Manchester City and is now waiting for Edererson to move to Galatasaray. The shock of Bayindir on Sunday, and the general struggles of Andre Onana near United, have, however, increased the prospect that Donnarumma moved to another part of Manchester.
United inquired about Donnarumma and Wayne Rooney earlier in the summer that they should try to hijack the move of the city. He said on his podcast: “Donnarumma, I think he is 26, he is one of the best keepers in the world, it would be crazy if man United did not go for him.”
