Mudryk doping ban update as chief confirms Blues could SAVE huge transfer fee

Mykhailo Mudryk has passed on a 'lie detector test' in his attempt to prove his innocence in the midst of a doping ban, has a chief of Shakhtar Donetsk.

Chelsea star Mudryk, 24, is currently suspended for the time being to play football after it had been confirmed last year that he had tested positively on the forbidden Meldonium substance.

He has denied misconduct and sworn to prove his innocence, but has not played for Chelsea since November.

Mudryk seemed to suggest that he was part of the team during the weekend, with a cryptic remark on one of Chelsea's messages, while waiting for the result of a 'B' monster and whether it confirms the findings of his 'a' example.

But with his former indictment out of action, Shakhtar -Chef Sergei Palkin claimed that the player does everything he can do to prove his innocence, including taking a polygraaf test.

“I have spoken to Mudryk many times since this doping problem arose,” Palkin told Givemesport exclusively.

“He doesn't understand how it could have happened. He has no idea. No idea at all.

“So his lawyers organized for him to do a lie detector test that he passed. It will be part of the evidence that shows that he has deliberately done nothing wrong.

'Mudryk has been clear, it is not his fault that he has tested positively. We must now discover how this happened and who did this. His lawyers try to find out.

'There are still no results from the B-Steek test, so that remains open. Nobody knows what happened. I wish Mudryk the very best. He is a top professional and a very good person. He should be protected.

'Shakhtar also has an established interest. There are bonuses from his move to Chelsea linked to his versions. If he does not play, this causes problems for us because we may be able to lose € 30 million. So Shakhtar, Chelsea and Mudryk we are in one boat.

“We all support Mudryk and hope that he will be able to continue to play football soon.”

After he joined £ 88 million in January 2023, Mudyrurborken had difficulty imposing himself on the Chelsea side and did not succeed in really running the ground.

In 79 performances for the blues he scored only 10 goals and had to do this in the Premier League in 2024-25 when his suspension entered.

If it turned out to have committed a violation, punishments for a positive drug test could lead to a long-term ban, as was the case with Paul Pogba when the former man United star was initially banned from football for four years before an appeal was reduced to 18 months.

In a message to his followers on Instagram after his preliminary ban, Mudryk posted: 'I can confirm that I received a notification that a sample that I provided to the FA contained a forbidden substance.

'This has come a complete shock because I have never knowingly used or have used forbidden substances or have violated rules, and working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened.

'I know I have done nothing wrong and hope that I will be back on the field soon. I can no longer say because of the confidentiality of the process, but I will be as soon as possible. '
