Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany says that the serious injury that Jamal Musiala has sustained in their club World Cup quarter-final defeat against Paris Saint-Germain had his “Blood Cooking” in frustration.
PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma collided with Musiala and the ankle of the German International was caught in the challenge.
Musiala had to be stretched and brought to the hospital, visibly sadly sad with Donnarumma and other players by the seriousness of the injury.
Kompany thought it was a cruel blow for a player who had just returned from another injury, but now looks on the sidelines for a considerable amount of time.
“For these guys it is their lives,” Kompany said afterwards. “Someone like Jamal lives for this, and he came back from a setback, and then it happens in the way it happens and you feel powerless.
“But the idea for the group and for us is always ready to get strength.
“So you try to get strength out because you want to do it for Jamal, but of course it's … If I'm sitting next to you … The thing that my blood is still cooking right now is not the result.
“I understand that this is football, but it is the fact that it has happened to someone who enjoys the game so much, but he is also very important to us.”
Neuer criticizes Donnarumma about Musiala injury
Bayern Munich Captain and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer criticized his opposite number of Donnarumma, convincing that he could have prevented the injury.
The German international also thought that the Italian showed a lack of respect towards the 22-year-old.
Neuer said: “It was a situation in which you don't have to go that way. That is taking risks. He was willing to accept the risk of injuring his opponent.
“I went to him and said,” Don't you want to go to our player? ” It is a matter of respect to go there and the man's best to wish.
“Fair Play is always a part of it. I would have responded otherwise.”
PSG Knock Bayern out to reach Semis
Bayern's Musiala misery was exacerbated by a defeat against PSG, who won 2-0 to reach the semi-final of the Club World Cup, despite completing the game with nine players.
Desire Doue scored the breakthrough goal in the 78th minute, wrong Footing Neuer after Harry Kane was earned in the Center Circle, but it was an uncomfortable final for the European champions when they had sent Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez.
But the side of Luis Enrique made light of those losses by scoring with a stunning counterattack after Achraf Hakimi defeated three players to set up replacement Ousmane Dembele, who had finally hit the bottom of the bar just a few seconds earlier.
PSG will play Real Madrid in the last four on Wednesday, because the French champions stay on track to add the Club World Cup to their Champions League victory in Munich.
