Quarantillo initially turned to X – formerly known as Twitter – to break his silence after suffering two straight defeats for the first time.

“F***… my fault, you guys felt good there,” he tweeted.

Two hours later, the 36-year-old shared a video on his Instagram Story.

“Thank you for the support. I'm doing well. I got caught, it happens,” Quarantillo said.

“It was a good fight. Shoutout to Cub, he's an OG of the sport.

“I'm with the crew now and we're going to The Blind Goat for a drink. I hope to see you there.

“Thank you again for the support. I'm doing well. I will think about it and come back stronger.”

Quarantillo added another message to his story after finding out he earned a bonus in his defeat.

He wrote: “It still stings but it's part of the sport, thank you Tampa, I love you.”

Cub Swanson teases retirement

Cub Swanson suggested he might be done fighting at UFC Tampa.

'Killer' has a storied career in his rearview mirror after scoring famous victories over former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira and perennial contender Dustin Poirier when he was at the height of his power.

Swanson has also shared the Octagon with Jose Aldo, Chad Mendes, Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar during his 44 fights in the sport.

“I kind of told my wife that this might be the last one, so we'll see,” Swanson said during his post-fight interview with UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping.

“I'm a little old, guys. I just want to say I appreciate you letting a 40 year old dad come here and entertain you.

He added at the post-fight press conference: “I will always be tempted [to fight again]. We'll see how I heal. I have three small children who are getting older and definitely want my attention more.

“I've got a bunch of fighters. My team 'Bloodline', the guys I manage and coach, I put a lot of effort into it, and over the last few fights I've really been able to show them how to do it. I couldn't just talk about it, I could talk about it, show it and lead by example.

“I'm honestly more excited to be a coach right now. I love the sport and the nice thing about being on the other side of the cage is that I don't go home with bumps and bruises.

“That could certainly be the end of a storybook. Yes, it will have to be something exciting to get me motivated [to fight again].”
