A UFC veteran believes that Ilia Topuria is already about to be Jon Jones -comparisons.
At UFC 317, Topuria Charles Oliveira hit to win the empty lightweight title with another ruthless victory of Knockout.
His successful relocation up to 155 pounds has already seen its stock rise with Topuria that is now at the top of the pound-for-pound ranks.
The recent series of victories that 'El Matador' has compiled has led to any question whether he should be in the biggest conversation of all the time.
Although some do not expect that Topuria will continue to fight for much longer, a UFC record holder is of the opinion that the undefeated star may be able to darken the consensus goat in one area.

Matt Brown says that the current wintreak of Ilia Topuria might be better than every run in Jon Jones's career
In the latest episode of MMA Fighting's' The Fighter vs. The Writer, “Matt Brown gave his opinion about the recent run of Ilia Topuria in the Octagon.
Brown, who announced his retirement in May last year, currently has the record for most Knock -Outs on Welterweight with 13, just two behind Derrick Lewis for the most in the history of UFC.
Brown believes that Topuria enters all the conversation as the greatest of all time, because he sketched one thing that 'El Matador' could separate from Jon Jones.
“The man is on the rack. I looked at part of Jones' CV and I compared some of the three fight runs he went, which he went on an unbeaten run, but I am not sure if you compare them with Ilia. Maybe afterwards 20/20 is so good if this run is that run.”

Brown, who wants to see Topuria compared to Arman Tsarukyan instead of Paddy Pimblett, believes that although it will be incredibly difficult for everyone to match Jones' lifespan at the top, he was not always the best of the best.
With the lightweight division and possibly good weight when he goes up, because he is historically one of the most talent-piled divisions in the sport, Topuria will not have this problem.
“I want to see that the run is going on,” said Brown. “That is my biggest criticism of Jon Jones. He finally finished a bit in terms of competition. I want to see Ilia fight against the worst guys and just see if he is all.
“If he can then beat Arman, it is a pretty strong seal there, especially I think he will probably not get Islam [Makhachev] fight depending on what happens to him and [Jack] Della Maddalena. Outside moving to 170, Arman is the one who is most logical in terms of quantity. “

Although Matt Brown maybe Ilia Topuria vs Arman Tsarukyan then wants to see, he still understands why the UFC might be more enthusiastic about Paddy Pimblett as the next challenger.
According to Brown, a victory over Tsarukyan would be even greater than his UFC 317 victory on Charles Oliveira.
Many people would agree with the attitude that beating the #1-Continent would be an more impressive achievement for Topuria, but after their face-off in the cage it seems that Pimblett is already in line.
“It sounds like it will probably be set [Paddy Pimblett] And it will be a huge fight, “said Brown.” I'm going to argue until the end, it should be Arman. I want to see that fight. I think that if Ilia goes out and beats Arman, it certainly contributes to the argument that he is the biggest ever. “
