Arsenal Defender Myles Lewis-Skelly was replaced for 34 minutes by Arsenal's Champions League Last-16 first leg match with PSV after 'Get Away with One' in the first half.
The 18-year-old received a yellow card in the 24th minute for the withdrawal of Luuk de Jong, and only a few minutes later Richard Ledezma stumbled along the PSV.
PSV players and fans called for a second booking by the Spanish referee Jesus Gil Manzano, but the civil servant kept his cards in his pockets and allowed the teenager to keep playing.
Gunners -Baas Mikel Arteta was not willing to take a chance, even until the break. He pulled back his player with 34 minutes on the clock after Mikel Merino scored to bring the score to the Gunners.
Lewis-Skelly quickly walked off the field, greeted by Jeers from the Thuis fans in Eindhoven but high-fives of his teammates. He was replaced by Riccardo Calafiori.
The Red would have been Lewis -Skelly's third in just over a month, giving his mars orders in the victory of the Gunners on Wolves on January 25 – who was later withdrawn – and in the defeat by West Ham on February 22.
Alan Shearer, who spoke on comments on Amazon Prime reporting, said: 'A bit of a risky situation when he got a yellow card just a minute ago. I know for sure if you would not have received a yellow card, that would certainly be one. '
Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg in the meantime added: 'The referee must assess whether that is a careless challenge or a reckless challenge. It is not a promising attack because the ball still comes out of the game.
'What the referee has assessed is that it is just a carefree challenge. He is gone for the ball, he is late. If that happens in midfield, it would probably not be a yellow card. He has been warned just earlier. If he had not been warned, as Alan said, he would certainly have received caution, but that is certainly not a second yellow card – it does not meet all the criteria. '
Although his red against wolves was destroyed after a profession, the 18-year-old was assessed to have refused a potential target cure when he polluted Mohammed Kudus on the half line against West Ham.
The Hammers-wing player disappeared Lewis-Skelly and had a clear path to goal for him, with David Raya far from his line.
Lewis-Skelly made a reckless failure and initially received a yellow card for his violation.
But after a short VAR assessment, the teenager was sent for the second time in the last four Premier League matches of Arsenal.
Arteta had the luxury to switch off the star during the PSV game, with his side 3-0 up, although Noa long pulled one back shortly after the replacement. However, the Gunners struck early in the second half by Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard. They then added two more to have 7-1 winners.
