Julian Nagelsmann has handed Nick Woltemade and Tom Bischof their first Germany call-ups for their Nations League semi-final against Portugal next month.
Germany has injuries to contend with, such as Kai Havertz, who has just returned from a hamstring problem, Antonio Rudiger, Jamal Musiala, Tim Kleindienst and Nico SchlotterBeK Miss All Miss Out.
Woltemade scored 12 goals in 28 Bundesliga performances for Stuttgart this season, the second highest count for the team after Erin Demirovic.
He also has the best shot conversion rate of every player in the team to score more than once in the competition, at 24.5% (12/49).
“Nick [Woltemade] Is a good option in attack, especially with the absence of small service. If we reach our highest level, we can beat Portugal, “said Nagelsmann in a German FA interview.
“That is our goal. We will do everything possible to reach the final. We want to play the final in Munich.”
Bischof, who will join Bayern Munich next season on a free transfer, created 50 chances for Hoffenheim in the German top flight, the joint among the team (level with Andrej Kramaric).

The last performance of Gnabry for Germany came back in November because he missed the quarterfinals of the Nations League against Italy in March due to inconsistent versions.
Florian Wirtz, Waldemar Anton and Felix Nmecha are also back in the team.
Germany will be opposed to Portugal in Munich on 4 June, where Spain and France dispute the other semi -final the next day.
The winners compete in the final on 8 June, also in Munich.
