Nani reunites with old boss Sir Ferguson as they enjoy breakfast together

Former Manchester United star Nani reunited with old manager Sir Alex Ferguson for a picturesque breakfast in Portugal.

A photo that will certainly bring back fond memories for United fans. Nani shared a post on X in which he and his former boss had a chat over a cup of coffee.

This comes just ten days after the former Red Devil announced his retirement from football at the age of 38, hanging up his boots after a final spell at his hometown club Estrela Amadora.

The message read: 'Wonderful breakfast – this time in Portugal – with the wonderful and special company of Sir Alex Ferguson. Great time, great memories. See you soon, boss.'

Nani is best known for his time at Man United, where he earned cult hero status as part of Ferguson's series-winning team in the late 2000s.

Ferguson was the man who brought him to Old Trafford, signing the winger for a fee of £21 million from Sporting CP in June 2007.

The former Portugal international dazzled fans and earned a reputation as an outrageous trickster with a penchant for the occasional long-range screamer.

A staple of Ferguson's later years, Nani scored 41 goals in 230 appearances for the club.

He achieved a host of honors in Manchester, winning the Champions League in his first season, plus four Premier League titles and two League Cups in eight campaigns.

He was loaned back to Sporting in the 2014/2015 season before permanently leaving United for Fenerbahce the following year.
