Match report
After the 1-0 defeat of Inter against Roma earlier on Sunday, the side of Antonio Conte benefited to clearly relocate three points on the Summit series with four more games.
Napoli felt the opportunity to feel the opportunity to take advantage of the slip-up of the Nerazzurri and took only seven minutes to break the impasse, with Frank Anguisissa cutting the ball back for McTominay to bundle home.
Torino should have been three minutes later, but Che Adams could only lie out of the bar from five meters.
It turned out to be expensive for the visitors, because the hosts doubled their benefits four minutes before the break, while MCTominay met the low cross of Matteo Politano to poke Vanja Milinkovic-Savic for his 11th goal of the season.
Replacement Philip Billing added almost a third when he went against the bar in the 62nd minute, but the Partenopei saw comfortably, which could prove a huge three points in their search for a second title in three years.
11 – #Mctominay scored 11 goals in the current competition, more than any other player in one Serie A campaign (overtaken law in 1961/62); Before him was the last midfielder who could score 10+ goals in a single BIG-5 campaign Charlie Adam in 2010/11 (12, Blackpool). Data Debrief: Making history McTominay surpasses the law and corresponds to Hamsik
McTominay was again Napoli's hero, while he took his count for his first Serie A campaign in double figures (11).
He opened the score and only became the second Scottish player who scored at least 10 goals in a single Italian top-flight season after Denis Law in 1961-62 (10).
Then, by doubling the lead from his side, he became the highest scoring player from his country in one campaign.
This century McTominay is one of only two Napoli midfielders to score at least 10 goals in a Serie A season, together with Marek Hamsik (four times).
The former player of Manchester United is also the first Scottish midfielder to score 10 or more goals in a single campaign in the Big Five European Leagues since Charlie Adam has delivered 12 for Blackpool in 2010-11.
