Napoli lining up move for Garnacho to replace K77 as ‘Devils set asking price’

Napoli are set to replace Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this month as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's successor, according to reports.

Kvaratskhelia, who is also believed to have attracted interest from Liverpool, is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain after telling Antonio Conte he wanted to leave.

According to Sport Italia, Conte has identified Garnacho as his preferred option to fill the void and United are said to have already set the asking price.

It is thought the 20-year-old could move on in a deal worth €50m (£42m) after falling out of favor under new boss Ruben Amorim.

Garnacho was on the bench for the last five games and was dropped entirely for United's win over Manchester City, alongside the suspicious Marcus Rashford.

As reported by Mail Sport, United are open to offers for almost all of their players, including previously untouchable crown jewels Kobbie Mainoo and Garnacho.

The club is working desperately to generate revenue to meet the Premier League's strict profit and sustainability rules. According to the regulations, homegrown players are worth 100 percent winnings and approximately four times as much as other players.

As a result, the margin of victory on Mainoo and Garnacho has now skyrocketed to levels that are difficult to ignore even for a club of United's size.

United would prefer to keep the duo, especially as Rashford is almost certain to leave this month, but if they have the choice, they would rather sell Garnacho.

The wideman has struggled to fit into Amorim's 3-4-3 system and has not started a match since the 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on December 7.

Garnacho has scored 23 goals in 115 appearances since joining United's first team.

However, Amorim has admitted that he would prefer to keep the youngster.

'I really love my players. I want to keep my players, especially the talented ones,” Amorim said. 'It is a special moment for this club, it is a difficult moment, but of course I am very happy with Kobbie, he is making progress, and also with Garna.

“Our idea is always to keep the best players and the players we build for this club.

'We know what position the club is in at the moment, but we'll see. I'm very happy, I love our players, especially the boys from our academy.'

It is understood that the only United players not for sale now are Leny Yoro, who made a £59million purchase in the summer, and Amad Diallo, who recently signed a new contract.
