Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will face a spell on the sidelines after suffering a right knee sprain, the Serie A club said on Tuesday.
The Georgian suffered the injury during Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Lazio in Serie A, with Napoli stating he had already started his rehabilitation.
Although the club has not confirmed the likely length of his absence, Italian media reported that recovery from such injuries typically takes four weeks.
This season, Kvaratskhelia has scored five goals and three assists in fifteen Serie A games for Napoli, which is second in Serie A.
They are two points behind leaders Atalanta – who have won nine games in all competitions – while third-placed Inter are one point behind the Partenopei with a game in hand.
