Nassourdine Imavov pulls out of UFC 319 backup slot and calls to ‘break’ surging middleweight contender

UFC Middleweight Competier Nassourdine Imavov has surprisingly withdrawn from his role as Back -Up to Dricus du Persis vs. Khamzat Chimaev.

UFC Middleweight Champion Dric Du Plessis will demonstrably be confronted with the most difficult test of his career when he defends his belt against Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 319 in Chicago. Du Persis and Chimaev Headline An intriguing map on UFC 319, with a middleweight matchup between Jared Cannonier and Michael 'Venom' page.

Du plessis vs. Chimaev takes place during an exciting time in the middleweight division of the UFC. After Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland had suffered recent defeats, the title photo of the Division contained some new names, including Nassourdine Imavov.

Imavov was attached as the UFC 319 Backupjager and the likely next title -Uitdager. But weeks before the upcoming pay-per-view card, Imavov has inexplicably withdrawn from the number 2 role.

'Conditions have changed' … Nassourdine Imavov withdraws from the Back -Uprol of the UFC 319

In a recent message to X, Imavov announced his withdrawal from UFC 319 and called the rising competition Caio Borralho to arrange their long -term feud.

“No more back -up. The circumstances have changed,” Imavov posted.

'You wanted to talk, son, I'm here, I'm going to break you [Caio Borralho]. “

Imavov and Borralho have been on each other's nerves for months. Borralho has not participated anymore since the beating of Cannonier last year due to a unanimous decision and focused on a collision with Imavov almost immediately after the victory.

IMAVOV did not friendly go to Borralho's Callout and spotted the talented Brazilian as he approaches a potentially middleweight title shot. In a recent interview with Bloody Elbow, Borralho called Imavov “scared” while he continued to poke his middleweight colleague.

Borralho and Imavov were briefly connected to interim title rumors after Du Plessis had sustained a recent injury. But the injury of Du Plessis was not serious enough to justify an interim title fight and will come across the striping Chimaev on UFC 319.

Nassourdine Imavov vs. Caio Borralho could be a no. 1 candidate -matchup

Imavov is on an unbeaten line of five fights with recent victories over Adesanya, Brendan Allen and Roman Dolidze. He also defeated Joaquin Buckley and Edmen Shahbazyan during his UFC official period.

Borralho, graduated from the Contender Series of Dana White, is on an undefeated line of 17-field and is unbeaten in his UFC official period. Before Borralho was postponed Cannonier last August, Borralho earned recent victories over Paul Craig, Abus Magomedov and Michal Oleksiejczuk.

As UFC 319 gets closer, a matchup between Imavov and Borralho can make much sense for the middleweight division.
