Dustin Poirier has eaten some devastating recordings in the featherweight and lightweight departments of the UFC.
The former UFC -Interim -light weight champion withdrew to the main event of UFC 318 after a unanimous loss of decision for old rival and BMF title holder Max Holloway.
Poirier's Kin got into their fight early, but 'The Diamond' eventually survived to see the five-round distance and got his own knock-down on Holloway in round 2.
We have seen Dustin Poirier go in the Octagon earlier, with a few KO losses on his 22-9 UFC record, such as Michael Johnson in 2016.

Dustin Poirier calls Justin Gaethje and Conor McGregor as his most difficult opponents
In a recent pre-fight interview with the American top team, Poirier was asked who had hit him the most difficult, whether it was in sparring or a UFC match.
“I have been stopped a few times by strikes,” said Poirier.
“Gaethje's main kick was a filthy,” Poirier said over his head Kick Ko -loss to former BMF champion Justin Gaethje.
Gaethje took Poirier on UFC 291 and was the first hunter in 7 years to do this.
“First fight with Conor was a good place,” said Poirier about his first fight with Conor McGregor in 2014.
“He struck me with a good blow,” said Poirier about McGregor, whom he defeated in their rematches years later.

The CV of Poirier in the lightweight division will fall one of the largest in history.
Poirier shared the cage with the unbeaten Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor (3x), Max Holloway (3x), Charles Oliveira, Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje – The list of former champions continues.
There are a few remarkable hunters who did not get Poirier the chance to fight, mentioning the Ariel Helwani -Let's see how he would have liked names such as Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone and BJ Penn in his Prime.
Of course there is also Nate Diaz, which Poirier would be confronted at UFC 230 in 2018, but withdrew due to injury. The fight has never been made again.
Once on the Docket for UFC 254 in 2020, Poirier almost fights against the legendary lightweight Tony Ferguson after his 12-fight win racing was broken earlier that year by Justin Gaethje. However, Poirier and the UFC could not negotiate a deal and the fight never happened.
