Former UFC -Superster Nate Diaz is his return to Fighting in MMA and Boxing.
While the Combat Sports calendar year 2025 exceeds the Midway Point, Nate Diaz still has to appear in the Octagon or the boxing ring for a scrap. Diaz, who said goodbye to the UFC after a victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, has not fought anymore since the beating of former BMF -enemies Jorge Masvidal in boxing last year.
Despite the inactivity of Diaz, there are several major fights on his radar, including a potential return to the UFC as negotiations appear to be fertile.

Nate Diaz Root for Conor McGregor Comeback to set up UFC trilogy
Diaz and dual UFC rival Conor McGregor are both planning to return to the combat sports the following year. McGregor wants to fight in the White House in 2026 for the planned event of the UFC on the South Lawn.
But McGregor is not the only top name on Diaz's spirit while he turns out to be his next move.
During a recent appearance on the out cold podcast, Diaz was asked about his fighting future while putting his comeback down.
“If I could fight someone now, I would fight – with all respect for them – as Conor McGregor. S -, Conor McGregor,” Diaz said.
“There is no one else to fight, really, now, I would like him to come back and first impress everyone. Not that he must, but it would be great to see him again. Everyone hates him. I would like to beat someone together at the top of the world, and I think he has the opportunity to do that.
“Then that little Ilia Topuria, he is doing very well,” Diaz said. “He is a bit small for me, but those two are probably the best fights.” (H/T MMA Fighting)
Diaz then pointed the conversation to boxing mega fights against one of the two brightest stars of the sport.
“And then on the boxing side, of course Canelo or Crawford. I don't ask for nothing, but if I get someone an AA – I will also get them m –——— -” Diaz explained.
“With all due respect. That's my plan.”
Diaz defeated Masvidal by majority decision in their boxing match last year. In recent months, Diaz was a top objective of Bare Knuckle FC, but contract interviews were fixed.
The only man ever Diaz, Josh Thomson, Knock -Out Knock -Out Knock -Out called for a rematch in the boxing ring. Thomson played Diaz with a main kick in 2013.
Last month Ilia Topuria recorded the then vacant UFC light weight belt on UFC 317. Later this year, Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez will arrive in a boxing mega fight.

Topuria has plagued a point to become the first three-division champion of the UFC, a chase that hit a major delay after an alleged promise to the matchmakers. A matchup with Diaz would probably be tempting to Topuria while preparing for his first lightweight title defense.
Diaz drew one of the greatest disturbances in the UFC history when he handed McGregor his first loss in the Octagon at UFC 196. But McGregor would take revenge in their instant classic rematch and beat Diaz by majority decision on UFC 202.
At the age of 40, Diaz no longer has time if he hopes to earn another UFC chapter. In the meantime, Diaz could get the attention of Topuria, Crawford and Alvarez for a potential fighting booking.
