Nate Diaz reportedly did not make a report behind the scenes of a fight with Darren Till, despite claims that he has withdrawn 'from a booked fight'.
The legendary former UFC light weight title candidate has not fought anymore since his victory over Jorge Masvidal last summer in their boxing brake match. He never has a shortage of fighting offers and has looked at the UFC in recent months.
So it was a surprise to hear that Diaz reportedly had rejected a misfits -box fight until the beginning of August had been set. And his best friend Jake Shields has told the bloody elbow that the couple had never discussed such a fight in recent weeks.
Nate Diaz vs Darren Till was 'never called' the best friend
Nate Diaz has spent in recent weeks in Thailand with photographing a reality show with Jon Jones, from where he ran away after a massive fight during filming. A member of his team who was on the ground in Thailand was his best friend Jake Shields, who would be aware of all Vechtnieuws.
Speaking with Bloody Elbow during the DBX 2 event on Saturday evening in Miami, Shields seemed stunned by the claim that Diaz had withdrawn from Darren to and said, “No, what is my best friend? Nate is never called.”

He continued to say that such a match-up is not much useful, given that it is a big name, but does not draw a big pay-per-view, such as Diaz's last opponents Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal.
“I love drones to but I just don't think he's at a level of big enough to fight, he's almost there, but he's not entirely a name of big enough. Someone like [Mike] Perry is a bit more logical, even though I love Perry and I don't want to fight him, but that fight is a bit more logical. “
Darren Till claims that he cannot get a fight now for August date
Till and his manager Lee Eaton both publicly claimed that Diaz went back with a deal to fight him in misfits -boxing this summer. As a result, the Brit says that he is unable to book a big name fight after two repayments in the Ring earlier this year against Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart.
“I had fighting news to announce,” he told fans in a video. “In principle, Nate Diaz called on the fight with me that he wanted to fight me on 2 August. He called everything he called the weight and I accepted, I immediately came to the camp on Monday and now he has withdrawn from the fight.”
He then mentioned a series of names that are not available now, including boxing legend Carl Froch, who reportedly needs months to prepare. The fight that fans have wanted for years is with Mike Perry, but the Dirty Boxing Championship Boss and BKFC 'King of Violence' allegedly wants to go seven digits.
Till claims that Tyron Woodley – who dropped him and submitted him UFC title fight in their 2018 – is interested in a second fight, but cannot do it this summer. And he said that Jorge Masvidal, who eliminated him a few months later, is not happy to be another go.
