NBA approaches PSG owners over basketball franchise

According to a report by Le Parisien, the NBA approached the owners of Paris Saint-Germain, QSI, about the prospect of a Parisian basketball franchise. Allegedly, a club spokesperson confirmed that contacted and stated: “We have shown interest.”

The French Outlet states that this confirms the interest of the NBA to develop a competition in Europe as quickly as possible, with rumors in the Spanish media of a Ten-League championship created for 2026-2027. It is thought that 11 cities are in favor of seven countries (London, Manchester, Berlin, Munich, Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Milan, Rome, Istanbul, Athens and Paris).

Le Parisien claims that QSI was presented two different proposals from the NBA, including the purchase of a Parisian team or the creation of a new team that is independent of PSG that would include other investors.

Last year NBA -Superster Kevin Durant became a stakeholder of minorities in PSG via the Arctos Partners Investment Fund, which has a share of 12.5% ​​in the club.
