Neal Maupay was aimed at scandalous Jibe on Paul Scholes after the man United -legend criticized the notorious antics of the Frenchman on the field.
Maupay has seen the Darts -celebration of James Maddison several times, the most recently for Marseille last month. He first made the celebration of the celebration when he was in Brentford, in a 3-2 defeat by Tottenham in February 2024.
After his opening goal, Maupay drove away in the celebration and continued to copy the characteristic movement of Maddison, next to Ivan Toney, where he imitates the action of throwing an arrow.
In a fan bat about the overlap, Scholes was asked what the difference is between Myles Lewis-Skelly who copies Erling Haaland's party and Maupay who copied Maddison's.
Lewis-Skelly motted Haaland in Arsenal's 5-1 win over Man City in the Emirates earlier this month; The 18-year-old thought it was the net and continued to copy the celebration of the Norwegian, where he is sitting on the floor in a meditative position.
Scholes then said that Maupay is an 'idiot' and that he takes 'the p ***', to which Maupay has issued a wild reaction.
'What is the difference between [Lewis-Skelly doing Halaand’s celebration] And do MAAPAY do the darts -thing? [Maupay] Stal Maddison's celebration, “Scholes was asked.
“He is an idiot, he just takes the p ***,” he replied.
Maupay went to X to insult Scholes and referred to an incident from 2021, where the former midfielder of England was seen who chewed his daughter's toenails.
The striker said, “surprised Paul Scholes can fit my name in his mouth next to his daughter's toes,” followed by a Voetemoji.
The clip to which Maupay referred, lasted only a few seconds, but showed Scholes that he gave his daughter a foot massage while he bit her toenails.
Alicia Scholes, who was then 20, posted the video on her thousands of followers on Instagram.
She noticed that the video showed 'true love', although many users of social media were disgusted by the images.
Maupay is notorious an Uber troll on social media and even fooled his parent club Everton in December last year.
The 28-year-old joined the Toffees from Brighton in August 2022, but left last summer to get used to Marseille, where he now plays.
After Everton had had a 2-0 defeat on December 29 by Nottingham Forest, Maupay went to social media to rub salt in their wounds.
He wrote on X: “When I have a bad day, I just check the Everton score and smile.”
But that fiasco was not the first time that Maupay Everton has held on social media.
In the public announcement of his move to Marseille last August, he posted a video from Andy Dufresne from the film The Shawshank Redemption Online.
The clip showed that Dufresne celebrated his escape from prison, before taking his shirt while he shouts in the rain.
Since he moved to Ligue 1, Maupay has scored four goals and helps so much in 16 league games.
