Manuel Neuer has signed a one -year contract extension with Bayern Munich.
His current deal would expire at the end of this season, but he will now stay with the Bavarian giants until the end of 2025-26, take him past his 40th birthday and hold him a 15th season in Bayern.
Neuer came to Bayern Van Schalke in 2011 and has since made 547 performances in all competitions, the seventh most among all players in the history of the club.
He also held a record -breaking 168 clean sheets in the Bundesliga.
The goalkeeper, who has been broken since 2017, has won the Treble of the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League (2013 and 2020) twice.
In general, he has won 11 Bundesliga titles, five DFB pokals and six DFL-Supercups, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup twice.

“I really enjoy playing football and want to stay a Bayern player,” Neuer said the media channels of the club.
“I am still hungry and look forward to another year in this special club.
“We have always had good conversations. That is a good feeling. It feels good and we still have many goals to achieve together.”
This season, Neuer has made 16 performances for Bayern in the Bundesliga, where eight clean sheets are kept to help them open a six-point lead about Champions Bayer Leverkusen in the table, while they look back from a trophy 2023-24 campaign.
