Neville highlights ‘strange’ decision by Ruben Amorim in 1-1 draw with Fulham

Gary Neville has claimed that a signature of £ 74 million in Manchester United 'nowhere is' near the speed' after their 1-1 draw against Fulham on Sunday.

Speaking at the Gary Neville -Podcast after the game, the former United Defender said that there was a 'shouting' to establish the player in question from the start, despite his recent arrival in the club.

Neville referred to the Slovenian international Benjamin Sesko, who joined RB Leipzig in an attempt to strengthen Ruben Amorim's attacking options this season.

However, Sesko was again limited to a Cameo from the bank after he was also introduced as a replacement in the Premier League opener of United against Arsenal last Sunday.

Neville Added: [Amorim] Will get Sesko against Grimsby and give him 90 minutes so that he can be played [from the start] Against Burnley next Saturday because you can see that he needs football.

'What you cannot do is just stay on the couch that potential is to leave that potential. The problem he will have is that he wants to keep Mason Mount in the team.

'But when Sesko came and Mount entered midfield and they took Casemiro from Namur, they were opened and it seemed [more likely] That Fulham would score.

'The strange for me was the change of the back line with Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw with five minutes to go.

“You don't want to change that back line if you can help it.”

The result still lets Amorim and United look for their first competition gain of the season after the defeat against Arsenal and the stalemate in Craven Cottage.

The Red Devils will hope that they can get their first of the new campaign on the board when they travel to Grimsby Town in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.

Then they return to action in the Premier League on Saturday while welcoming Burnley at Old Trafford.
