Mohamed Salah has improved one of his attributes to make himself 'unspeakable' this season, according to Gary Neville.
The Liverpool star has beaten records and became their joint third scorer ever in the 2-0 win in Manchester City on Sunday.
The 32-year-old star is the top scorer in the Premier League with 25 goals and is at the forefront of assists with a 16-day with a margin of six over his nearest rival.
His performances have come to this season in the midst of constant uncertainty about his future while his contract ends at the end of the campaign, a shock for a player who is in strong position for the Ballon d'Or with Liverpool who the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup crowns.
And for Neville, Salah has improved his strength to the point at which he makes some of the top players of the competition look like 'little boys'.
“He has been five, six, seven, eight, nine, no matter how long he has been in Liverpool,” said Manchester United's legend on the podcast of Gary Neville.
'If I look at him right now, he is unplayable.
“Psychologically, he is in the head of the opponent he is standing against.
“You know that when you play against someone where you think:” I'm going to destroy him, I'm going to beat him, I'm going through him ” – You can't, he is like a brick wall.
'That ball is played 40, 50 meters from Alisson in his chest, and he keeps (Josko) gvardiol, who is 6ft 3 in, as if he was a little boy, and he does that all season. I may not have seen that in the past.
'I know he has always been strong and always has a great low center of gravity, and he has strong strength, as I used to say. Sometimes, players you would play against as a full-back, you always thought what they would do as a winger, they were decent.
“Salah is not, but he is probably compared to gvardiol, and he explains his arm and you think,” I can't even move! ” And that is what Salah is at the moment.
'When the ball is transferred in the second half, a pass of 80 Yard Pass from (Virgil) van Dijk, you just know that he will immediately bring it to a sixpence.
'Everything is so polished and so perfect and so slow. And when I say slowly, in the last third part is the most hectic place on the football field, but everything just feels so composed and slow-motion when he is at the ball.
'You know that he will play the pass at the right time, you know it will be the right weight of Pass, you know he will play the right cross, you know he will be efficient in his shooting.
'He is absolutely at the top of his game, he is a different level than something else in the competition this season in terms of his performance levels. He is from world class.
“Liverpool will desperately try to keep him. He is one of the best players who has seen the Premier League. That is 11 games this season, he has had a goal and an assist, it's great, absolutely great.
'You must always be the most grateful for the player you win the game, because that is the hardest and special thing. That is what Salah went and done. '
Neville, speaking after Liverpool had moved 11 points at the top with their victory in City, also compared the Egyptian with a former man United teammate.
“If I look back on my career, especially my first title season then (Eric) Cantona scored some goals, you just thought, that's the version,” he said.
'The player who delivers at the most challenging moment, on the crux of the season, where the title is at stake, do you play the best teams that you are going to get up and you win the game? That is what Salah is for Liverpool.
“This is what world class looks like. You stand up at the biggest moments and he did that here in City. '
