Neville tells Nuno to QUIT Forest tonight after furious owner storms onto pitch

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis accused the field to confront his manager Nuno Espirito Santo in the last whistle against Leicester.

Forest admitted in the last ten minutes to draw 2-2 with the foxes – who dent their ambitions of Champions League.

This led to Marinakis entering the playing field when players, coaches and officials went through their handshakes after the game.

The Greek appeared as if he would initially walk past Nuno, but he turned around and spoke with the Bosbaas after he had ended his interaction with Oliver Skipp, with whom he worked in Tottenham.

Marinakis started gesturing and seemed frustrated when he spoke to Nuno in what seemed a powerful way.

Nuno seemed to resign a little before what was told him and extended his arms in an almost shoulder pick.

He said a few words back to Baas Marinakis, who threw his arms in the air before he walked away from the Portuguese.

Nuno explained that Marinakis was frustrated about the replacement of Taiwo Awoniyi, who offered little after it rises.

Gary Neville was relieved about the behavior and went to Marinakis.

He tweeted: “Scandalous from that forest owner.

“Nuno has to negotiate with him tonight! The forest fans, players and manager don't earn that.”

Neville later emphasized his opinion on Sky Sports and said: “I feel forced to mention what the forest owner has just done on the field on the city is absolutely outrageous.

“If I were Nuno, I would go and have a strong word with him because that is an absolute scandal.

“He has just qualified for European competition and where that club has been, and to be talked with on the field for their own fans is an absolute joke.”

Nuno, however, played the seriousness of the forest owner's actions, suggesting that emotions can run high in football.

He told Sky Sports: “It was due to the situation. There was a confusion about the situation of t [Awoniyi].

“There was frustration to play for 10 minutes with a player who had so much confidence and was positive that he is going to score.

“We made the sub and then played with one man less. That causes frustration, it is clear.

“Football, football is emotions. It's hard to check, especially if we had so much expectation today.”

It is not the first time that Marinakis has stormed the field after the last whistle.

In March last year he entered the field to talk to civil servants after Darwin Nunez grabbed a last-gasp winner for Liverpool in the city ground.

He continued to smoke after the Reds used nine minutes stop time to score.

Referee Paul Tierney also stopped a forest attack after Ibrahima Kontate went down with an apparent head injury.

Marinakis was reportedly removed by the security after chasing Tierney through the tunnel.
