Arne Slot reportedly made a crucial late intervention to convince Florian Wirtz to stimulate Bayern Munich for Livern -Munich this summer.
The German attacker, 22, is one of the biggest names on the market in the coming transfer window with Liverpool with Bayern with Bayern to seduce the Bayer Leverkusen star to participate.

Wirtz's decision to snub Bayern in favor of Liverpool, it is claimed that it has shocked officials in the club.
And according to German Outlet Bild, a decisive meeting with Slot on 13 May was crucial in Wirtz's decision.
The report claims that the 22-year-old has been given permission by Leverkusen to speak with both the Dutchman and the Bayern boss Vincent Kompany and Wirtz who traveled to England earlier this month.
During a meeting it is said that Slot Wirtz fascinated, not only with his own passion, but also that of the club and his fans.
Elsewhere, discussions about the specific role of Wirtz played an important role in his decision in the same way.
Slot was clear in his plans where Wirtz would play in his title -winning side and the German was also promised that he would be a central part of Liverpool's attack.
The 22-year-old fought on 18 May further conversations with Bayern, with the Bavarian giants desperately to do everything to seduce Wirtz, one of the best young players in the world, to participate.
A secret meeting took place in Munich on May 18, on the same day that Bayern publicly fourth to get the Bundesliga back from Leverkusen.
The report further claims that Wirz's father had advised his son to think about his hanging decision prior to that meeting, although it was assumed that he was leaning to a move to the Premier League.
After he flown to Munich, Wirtz was picked up in a limousine by Bayern and then transported to a public hotel in secret.
Wirtz then spoke with Kompany in a private room, where the Belgian explained how he would fit into his side and put on a charm offensive, with the help of his laptop to show a presentation to the 22-year-old.
Another meeting then took place in a hotel suite with various important Bayern figures, including board members Uli Hoonheid, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Jan-Christian Dreesen and sports directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund.
They were desperate to convince Wirtz to move to Munich, but Kompany would have been concerned that Bayern would be sown to be split off by the Leverkusen star.
And, days after that last meeting, the fears of Kompany came out when Wirtz informed the club of his preference.
This was confirmed on Saturday by Bayern President Herbert Haarer when he said, “Max Eberl told me that Florian Wirtz is likely to tend to Liverpool.”
In the meantime, Mail Sport has previously demonstrated that Liverpool has made formal contact with Leverkusen and the clubs will now negotiate the substantial compensation and potential add-ons.
If Wirtz completed a move, he would probably cost a British transfer record costs, since Leverkusen wants € 150 million (£ 125.9 million).
