New footage reveals exactly what Dana White said in crude apology to Alexander Volkov after controversial UFC 310 loss

Dana White repeatedly told Alexander Volkov that he was “fucked” by the judges last night after his loss to Ciryl Gane.

The Russian controversially came out on the wrong side of a highly controversial split decision during one of UFC 310's showcase fights in Las Vegas. Even Gane seemed confused by the result as he stormed out of the cage after being announced as the winner.

He had already lost to Gane once before and had returned to heavyweight contention with a four-fight winning streak. However, he now appears to be in no man's land after two defeats to the Frenchman in a division that is already crowded at its peak.

After the fight, it seemed like Dana White and Alexander Volkov spent some time talking about what happened. And now footage captured by ESPN MMA has shown exactly what White said, after both men had already commented.

“You're damned,” White can be seen telling Volkov, repeating the message four times at different intervals as they searched for a translator to relay the entire message to the Russian who speaks limited English.

'That's terrible. I don't know what we're going to do, but we'll try to make it right, okay? Do you understand what I mean? I have no idea, the whole arena thought he won the fight. I have no idea, they screwed that up badly, I'll talk to you soon, again, my apologies.

Alexander Volkov calls for judge to be fired after UFC 310

After the fact, Volkov was really annoyed by what had happened and demanded justice. And he became further irritated when he learned that the controversial Adelaide Byrd had scored the fight in his opponent's favor, costing him the fight.

He called for the infamous boxing judge to be removed from her position and asked the media at his post-fight press conference: “How can the man who was less active and comes out with more damage win? I don't understand this.”

Byrd became infamous when she scored the first match between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin in 2017, an unprecedented 118-110 in favor of the Mexican. There were then calls for her to be removed from her position, but she continued to judge sports on the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

“Is this the same judge who judges boxing and MMA? I don't understand, this state is the fight capital of the world, I don't know what to say… How is it possible that the same person can judge two different types of sports?

“I don't understand how a person who is not professionally trained in this sport cannot be requalified to judge this sport, or simply cannot be fired.

“I don't know if she's working on her [judging] skills, or she just comes to watch the fights every now and then because she likes it and give victory wherever she wants… Maybe she liked Ciryl Gane's body more.

“It's the same as in our sport: if you're not professionally fit to fight in the UFC, there's a good chance you'll be fired – and it should be the same for everyone, if you can't do that professionally. it's your job, you shouldn't do it.”
