New Man Utd hero Ethan Williams following in footsteps of history-making uncle immortalised in mural by rivals Man City

His famous uncle is a legend in Manchester City who became the first black goalkeeper to play in the English top flight.

But Manchester United -young Ethan Williams has no time to worry about torn family coyality between the red and blue side of the city.

That is because the 19-year-old winger is too busy to break into the Premier League team of Ruben Amorim for their season opener against Arsenal on August 16.

Local Manchester Lad Ethan's “Dreams Came Ware” when he scored his first United Goal during the 4-1 victory of the club over Bournemouth in Chicago on Wednesday.

A minute after emerging, the Academy graduated was present to pick up the ball from the box after the new signing Diego Leon stumbled while driving to the goal.

And before you knew it, Ethan cut, which is just as sharp with both feet, cut inwards and a devastating right foot finish in former Chelsea stopper Djordje Petrovic's Near Post.

Rarely does this united team score four goals. And rarely – or ever – Amorim celebrates when they touch the back of the net.

Fans will even be hard to be pressed to remember a few times when the Portuguese Gaffer jumped up and down through the sidelines. We just never saw it.

Amorim said, 40,: “I celebrated that goal.

“It is usually not even during the season, but I celebrated that goal because I really like to see the children who work really well, who don't have much room during training, but they are there.

He is also a celebrated figure for his incredible 33 years with City in The Community and earns an MBE in 2002 – three years before Ethan was born – for his work with young people.

The proud uncle mapped the highlights and lows of his career in an autobiography from 2023 who also hit a teenager who made waves at Carrington.

In his book 'You Saw Me Standing Alone', Alex wrote: 'Ethan is progressing well and has the potential to go completely.

“He is the younger son of my brother Lloyd and is in style comparable to former Leroy Sane city wing.

“I just hope that Ethan is just as happy during his career as during mine.”

Incidentally, Alex's last city performance came during a 3-0 home destruction against Man Utd, where he gave away a penalty in 1985-one year after lifting the European championships under 21 with England.

He has just returned from a fruitful loan saying with the League two side, where he scored twice in 17 performances.

And Ethan may hope for its own mural on the Trafford side of the city in the distant future.
