The 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha of Liverpool wrote History as the youngest score in the history of the club when he hit almost the last kick of a breathless meeting to catch the victory against Newcastle United in a stunned St James' park.
The atmosphere was red -hot, feelings that ran high after the long -term chase from the Reds to the rebel stiker of the home team Alexander Isak.
And it got the drama that it earned when Newcastle rose the canvas to rattle the Premier League champions, retreat to 2-2 after being 2-0 down and Anthony Gordon was sent in the first half of the stop time.
The men of Eddie Howe had mounted a hectic early increase in Liverpool's goal, but were hit by a fool 10 minutes before the break when the low shot of Ryan Gravenberch Nick Pope defeated, helped by a slight deflection of Fabian Schar.
A tough meeting was constantly played on the edge and it cooked in the first half of the stop time when Gordon was shown a red card by referee Simon Hooper for a hasty late challenge on Virgil van Dijk – confirmed the decision after a video assistant reference (VAR) check.
Liverpool surprised the hosts again by doubling their advantage within 30 seconds after the restart when Hugo Ekitike, the striker who brought the Magpies to Anfield instead, scored with a low, placed right foot finish.
But although he was a man, Newcastle gathered and gave Captain Bruno Guimaraes hope with a donple head on the distant pole after 57 minutes.
With Liverpool who lost their calmness, replacement Will Osula appeared on Gravenberch to bundle the equalizer past Alisson after 88 minutes.
Liverpool seemed to have thrown away a victory that certainly looked in the second half until the replacement of Ngumoha, after 16 years and 361 days, made a sensational climax when she was not marked to dismiss home in the 10th added minutes.
