Newcastle and Man Utd in another striker transfer battle with U21 Euros star Woltemade joining Sesko as target

Manchester United and Newcastle will be locked up in another transfer fight to land Nick Woltemade as their next striker.

Bayern Munich had been in pole position to sign Woltemade, 23, which is appreciated at £ 40 million.

But the £ 55 million from Luis Diaz from Liverpool to Bayern has both the Red Devils and the chances of landing to land the German under-21 star among 21, while the Bundesliga champions can withdraw from the race.

United and Newcastle have both made a new NO9 into an important summer priority.

The Premier League giants have both also held conversations for £ 70 million Rated RB Leipzig sensation Benjamin Sesko.

Ruben Amorim has to stimulate United's firepower after their worst campaign in 30 years last season – with Sesko and Ollie Watkins both on their shortlist.

In the meantime, Toon -Baas Eddie Howie has to make plans for what life could look like without Alexander Isak, after the Swede indicated that he wants to continue.

Liverpool remains favorites to sign Isak, which is appreciated at £ 150 million by the Magpies.

And Stuttgart -star Woltemade is one of the most popular prospects in Europe.

The emerging attacker has been in Bayern's sights all summer, but Price has been a problem.

Woltemade was one of the five of Sun Sport to watch for the under -21 euros – and was the top goalscorer of the tournament with six.

He rose due to the Academy Ranks in Werder Bremen and was a fixed value for them at different levels of youth.

Woltemade, who has earned one senior cap, then broke in their first team as a teenager and scored two goals in 51 games.

He was lent to SV Elversberg to get some experience under his belt.

Bremen cashed him in 12 months ago when Stuttgart came to call.

He has been productive since then and has fired 17 goals in 33 games.

Speaking earlier this month, Stuttgart -sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth said: “Nick is back [at Stuttgart training]We have contact.

“His teammates welcomed him with a smile and he arrived with a smile. I think he was happy to be back. He makes a very good impression. He is in good condition.”

So far, Howe has passed a difficult transfer window – already given deals for Forward Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Bryan Mbeumo and Hugo Ekitike.
