Chelsea will be confronted this summer with fierce competition from both home and abroad for Bournemouth Center-back Dean Huijsen. The blues have identified the Spain U21 International as a potential transfer target while they draw up plans to upgrade the defensive options of Enzo Maresca at the end of the season. But Newcastle belongs to a long list of clubs that are ready to throw their hat in the ring for the Cherries Ace after his amazing debut Premier League season at the Vitality Stadium. The Magpies have had Huijsen on their radar since last year when he made an impression on loan at Roma by Juventus. The teenager born in Dutch was one of the many cheaper alternatives that Newcastle considered in addition to their failed striving for Marc Guehi.
The side of Eddie Howe had saved four bids with a big money for the English international last summer and he remains a name of enormous interest. Chelsea and Tottenham, who have rejected their own bid in recent weeks, remain enthusiastic about the Crystal Palace captain. The blues also have matching rights for Guehi, which will take effect in June the last year of his contract. In the meantime, German giants Bayern Munich also looks at Huijsen, which means that Bournemouth has a big fight to hold the Sterret after the end of the season. It is clear that he has written a release clause in his current Cherries contract that can be activated this summer. His former club Juventus also has a sold -out clause. Bournemouth look out to destroy the meg win if the player is sold with Huijsen for a first £ 12.6 million from Juve last July.
While the old lady scratched around for defensive reinforcements in the winter transfer window, many could not believe within the game that they allowed Huijsen to leave for so cheaply, especially as they have paid £ 20 million to sign Lloyd Kelly, who has replaced Huijsen with Bournemouth, from Newcastle on a first loan that becomes permanent. Newcastle are also admirers of Illia Zabarnyi van Bournemouth, who has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain. The magpies are impeded by PSR restrictions in recent transfer windows. They had closed a deal to sign Manchester City's Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens last month, but they could not get the transfer over the line because of those financial limitations. Chelsea are also great admirers of Nottingham Forest Starlet Murillo, who has just signed a new bumper contract on the city. Forest does not entertain the idea of a sale and it has recently been reported that they met the blues last month before they tied the expansion of the Brazilian.
