Liverpool has held an approach for Alexander Isak, but has focused on Hugo Ekitike after Newcastle insisted that the £ 125 million striker was not for sale
The new signature of £ 55 million from Newcastle, Anthony Elanga, is desperate to keep playing next to Alexander Isak and wants the 'Wereldklasse' striker 'in St James' park. Isak, 25, was the subject of an approach from Liverpool earlier this week.

The only thing that remains is to conclude a deal with Frankfurt, who appreciates him at £ 86 million. That will probably put an end to Liverpool's striving for Isak in a huge silver lining for Newcastle.
That will please Elanga, who already knows the Swede to play together at an international level. The wing player has joined Isak and his new teammates in a training camp in Austria after completing a relocation of £ 55 million from Nottingham Forest.
During an interview with Sky Sports, Elanga made it clear how sharp he is for Isak to sit and possibly sign a new contract. Newcastle is planning to offer the 25-year-old an improved deal, despite the fact that the former real Sociedad striker has already been tied up until 2028.
“A player like Alex … everyone wants to play with Alex,” said Elanga about his countryman. “For me he is one of the best strikers in the world and after I have played with him on an international level, I can really say that.
“There will always be things and rumors around the world, but for me he is a top man and a top player. From playing with him at international level and now training with him, it's great.”
