Newcastle officially unveil new 2025-26 home kit and show off ‘fresh twist’

Newcastle has officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2025-26 season and had a 'fresh twist' on their iconic black and white design.

The striking new comic brings tribute to the roots of the club with the usual vertical stripes mixed with the check of the shepherd – a classic northern motif.

Manufacturers Adidas have also included subtle blue details that contrast the two main colors and functions over the sleeve cuffs and collar.

The authentic version of the strip contains advanced fabric, so that players can perform on their peak under pressure, while the replica version contains aeroready technology, which offers comfort for supporters on match days and beyond.

The motto of Newcastle 'Howay the Lads is stamped in the neck of the kit.

The club has promised to donate £ 5 to the Newcastle United Foundation with each shirt that is sold via their official website or store before the end of August.

The design will make its debut when Newcastle is organizing Everton this Sunday in their last Premier League match of the season -with Champions League football on the line.

In a statement, Adidas said: 'The black -white stripes of Newcastle United are among the most iconic designs in football. This year we looked deeper into their origins to bring fans something rooted in tradition, yet courageous and new.

“The check of the Shepherd adds a unique layer of telling stories and connect supporters more closely with the identity of the club.”

Peter Silverstone, the Chief Commercial Officer of Newcastle, emphasizes the campaign for the club's foundation, added: 'The launch of this season is about more than just what our players wear on the field – it is about supporting our community.

'For each shirt that is sold through official club channels, we donate £ 5 to the Newcastle United Foundation.

'It is a way for supporters not only to wear the badge with pride, but also to contribute directly to the life -changing work that the foundation does in the region. Together we make a difference – on and next to the field. '

The sweater will be on sale from 29 May at Adidas, the website of the club and retailers.

In the meantime, Newcastle recently announced controversial plans to re-design the club's badge for the 2026-27 season, causing a recoil from supporters.

Figures in St James' Park believe that the crest, which dates from 1988, is not suitable for modern times and the club has started working with designers.

Proponents have also been consulted for the Rebrand. The new image, once confirmed, will be the fourth crest that has been worn by Newcastle players since the 1950s.
