Newcastle Defender Dan Burn has spoken about how the current Transfersaga of Alexander Isak with Liverpool influences the dressing room of the team.
Isak missed the Premier League opener of the Magpies in Aston Villa on Saturday and there seems to be no chance that he will be for Newcastle for the month, although manager Eddie Howe wants him to play.
His absence will fine a club while he digs his heels in the ground in the hope of securing a move to Liverpool.
Isak will be a huge miss for Newcastle, after he contributed 23 goals and six assists in the Premier League last season, linging his side to fifth place.
Nevertheless, Burning has insisted that the summer capoles of Isak only brought everyone closer in the dressing room.
When asked how he thought about the success of last season -in which Newcastle saw their 56 -year -old trophy -dried end ending by beating Liverpool in the EFL Cup final -said Burn: 'Yes, it was it [a successful season] But there has clearly been a lot of external noise this year.
Speaking before the start on Saturday, Burn was then asked whether the speculation around the movement of Isak brought the team together.
He said: “I think so. I think there is clearly a lot of external noise. We have a pretty close group and we can continue with it.
'I think we've been without Alex for about four or five weeks now [Isak]So for us he is clearly not involved at the moment.
“But we have players who have to get up and contribute to the goals and we are ready to go.”
This week Howe said that Isak is in control of whether he will play for Newcastle again.
He said: 'While I'm sitting here now, I don't know [Isak will play again]. Alex will control that.
'The situation of Alex has been unchanged for a while and that will remain the case, I think.
'Naturally [I want him to play]I often said that I want him to train and play. I have had those conversations with him, but the details of these conversations must remain private. '
