Newcastle United is said to weigh a movement for Nicolas Jackson after he apparently missed Benjamin Sexo.
The magpies have gone hell for leather to replace any striker Alexander Isak with RB Leipzig Hitman Sesko.
The North East Club offered more than £ 70 million for the 22-year-old, who took 13 goals in the Bundesliga last season.
But Manchester United is said to have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals with an range of £ 74 million for the Slovenia International.
Nieuwcastle would now climb for alternatives to Sesko, who is said to have set his heart to move to Old Trafford.
And according to the Telegraph, they are now considering signing Chelsea Hitman Jackson.
They claim that the Senegal International has emerged as a “serious option” for Toon Boss Eddie Howe.
Howe is desperate to sign a new striker before the transfer window closes to compensate for the potential relocation from Isak to Liverpool.
And Jackson, 24, would contain “very” on his list of attacking goals.
A movement for Jackson can be fast, because Chelsea wants to sell the rush after the acquisitions of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
But Newcastle could be put off by the report of the £ 100 million appreciation of the attacker.
Jackson ended the 2024/25 season with 13 goals and six assists in 37 performances for the side of Enzo Maresca.
