NEWCASTLE has reportedly put an eye-watering price tag of more than £150million on Alexander Isak.
The Swedish striker has been in good form this season, with 11 goals in 16 Premier League appearances.
Isak, 25, has only been beaten by Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer in England's top flight in 2024.
The Telegraph has reported that the Magpies quoted a £150 million price tag last summer.
This was done in an attempt to block a possible exit for the Swedish international.
Isak has three and a half years left on his contract at St James' Park.
The report adds that Newcastle will look to extend his contract at the end of the season and will not reduce the asking price.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with striker moves.
The Reds could make a move for Isak if Mohamed Salah were to leave the club at the end of his contract.
European giants Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to be following Isak.

Interest from top clubs could spark a bidding war and push Isak's transfer to a world record.
Neymar's move from Barcelona to PSG in 2017 is the current record of £198 million.
The report claims Newcastle is 'relaxed' about its situation and has 'no interest' in making money.
A sale would strengthen Newcastle's PSR position, with the club currently limited in its ability to sign new players.
Contract talks broke down earlier this year, but Isak has insisted he is “of no consequence”.
It is claimed that the ongoing ties over Isak's possible exit have left Newcastle “bewildered” and believe it is an attempt to “upset” him.
Manager Eddie Howe recently praised the striker's personality as one of the reasons for his effectiveness in front of goal.
He said: “He is calm, cool, he is what you see on the pitch.
“He doesn't get overly emotional, which is a great quality for a striker.
“That coolness you see and the calmness in front of goal is part of his personality.”
