Newcastle’s three-man wishlist as Eddie Howe looks to hijack Liverpool transfer

Newcastle -Baas Eddie Howe is said to have set up a three -man transfer list for summer spending in St James' Park -including Liverpool -target white Johan Bakayoko.

The magpies hardly made any signing sessions in the summer or in January, with only five signing sessions in both windows – and none of that were big names that influenced the first team.

Two of the five additions were Back -Up Keepers, one was a permanent deal for Lewis Hall after his loan last season and another was the young attacker William Osula – who still has to start a game in the Premier League.

Newcastle has not prevented it from having an impressive season because they are sixth in the Premier League, only two points from the top four and have all reached the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.

Now it is said that Howe will produce the preparations to improve his team for next season, according to Chronicle Live, who claim that he has a shortlist led by PSV star Bakayoko.

The 21-year-old is blinded this season in the Eredivisie and scored ten goals in all competitions of the wing and attracts the attention of a number of clubs, including Liverpool of Arne Slot.

The report claims that Bakayoko Newcastle could restore £ 50 million, seen with the Belgian star as the “ideal” player to be part of the exciting team of Howe.

It goes further to say that Liverpool has joined Newcastle Scouts to travel to Holland to look the Vooruit. Slot knows that he will probably lose Mohamed Salah this summer and will watch a replacement.

The other two players who chase Newcastle, says the report, are Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen and Crystal Palace Vooruit Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Huijsen joined the Cherries last season for £ 12.6 million from Juventus and received attention with his fight displays in the middle, while Mateta is interested in clubs such as Manchester United after packing 13 goals in all competitions for Crystal Palace.

It is said that Huijsen has a release clause of £ 55 million in his contract, while recent reports suggest that every team interested in Mateta should pay at least £ 50 million.
