Manchester United and Newcastle were both previously interested in a deal for RB Leipzig -striker Benjamin Sesko with the Red Devils now apparently in the Rijsteel for the attacker
Benjamin Sesko seems to sign for Manchester United with Newcastle Chiefs who have already defeated their pursuit. The Red Devils and the Magpies are both interested in adding a striker to their squadrons this summer.
RB Leipzig -star Sesko has emerged an excellent candidate for both parties, with his future now looking uncertain in Germany. Newcastle wants him to have a potential replacement for Alexander Isak, who asked to leave St James' Park in the midst of interest from Liverpool.
But their pursuit of Sesko might have already been abandoned, in which Chiefs in Newcastle believed that he is ready for Old Trafford. According to Mail Online, the side of Eddie Howe is now focusing their attention on Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz.
There were no high -level conversations between the two clubs, but an informal investigation was submitted by Newcastle, while intermediaries have spoken. It is thought that a reimbursement of approximately £ 40 million would be sufficient to close a deal.
Muniz, 24, is a Brazilian international and joined Fulham from Flamengo in 2021. In the past two seasons, he has scored 21 goals in all competitions.
However, Muniz is not the only striker that Newcastle regards as an alternative. They are also interested in colleague Red Devils target Ollie Watkins, while Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea is also on their shortlist.
Much depends on the future of Willaway Forward Isak, where Howe recently confirms that a move from the club is not imminent. He said: “He is still our player. He has contracted us. We have checked to a certain extent what the next one is for him.
“I would like to believe that all possibilities are still available to us. My wish is that it will remain, but that is not under my full control. We have not received a formal offer for Alex, from every club. My wish is that he will stay and we will see him play again next year.”

Elsewhere, United Baas Ruben Amorim has explained the approach that he will follow for new signing sessions – including Sesko. He said: “They must want to come here. I think what we can do the fans is that we want players to have proven it [themselves] all.
“Sometimes you have a player with a lot of potential, you have to be aware of that, but all players coming, we have to know the player. We have to talk to the player, we have to explain the project.
“And then a very important thing they want to come here is the most important point. If we can find someone who can help the team during the market and everything that can be with them, we will do it. If not, we can't do it because it is an important time in our club.”
