Arsenal became a troll by rival fans after their heartbreaking Champions League elimination in the semi-final.
The Gunners lost 2-1 against Paris Saint-Germain in Parc des Princes and went out with a total score of 3-1.
This marks the fifth year of North Londers without a large trophy, despite their amazing transformation under manager Mikel Arteta, who took over in 2019.
This resulted in some opposing fans having fun at the Premier League giants in social media after they failed to finally win their first Champions League title.
Most of them played a similar joke that the focus of Arsenal mocked on next season.
Legend Patrice Evra van Manchester United made that running gag famous in an earlier interview when he compared the London outfit with Netflix.
Evra said: “Looking at Arsenal is [like] Watch Netflix. You always wait for the next season. Every season will be like that. “
And so the Rivals of Arsenal shared a series of memes based on the Quip of the France.
One fan shared a snap of a rusty camera and contained the following caption: “The camera that recorded the last major trophy of Arsenal.”
Another attracted a “Arsenal cycle” that read: “We are going to win the Premier League – yes, it's lonely at the top – Bottle everything – we're going again next season.”
This fan wrote: “Next seasonfc, we tried FC, Netflix FC.”
And that joked: “We'll be back FC next season.”
Arsenal will now be looking for second place in the Premier League, while PSG takes on Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
