Neymar splashes out £43m on lavish penthouse in Dubai with a car elevator
Neymar has expanded his impressive property portfolio by buying a £43 million penthouse in Dubai.
The Brazilian superstar, 32, recently bought waterfront land in Miami for £20.5million, and is reportedly eyeing a £7million private island off the coast of Brazil, where he could potentially live with his model girlfriend Bruna Biancardi and their daughter Mavie.
Now he has signed a deal with real estate company Binghatti to buy a Sky-Mansion penthouse in the UAE.
Binghatti confirmed the agreement in an Instagram post on Monday, in which Neymar signed his contract with the caption: 'Binghatti is delighted to welcome global football icon Neymar as the proud homeowner of a Sky-Mansion Penthouse in Bugatti residences of Binghatti'.
The penthouse has several standout features that enticed Neymar, including a private car lift that goes straight to the front door and a swimming pool.
It also has a fitness center and a members-only club.
Binghatti claims the penthouse is 'a tribute to the French Riviera' and offers stunning views over Dubai.
Neymar has entered the field despite the uncertainty surrounding his career following a disastrous spell at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
He signed a £130 million-a-year contract last year but suffered an ACL injury while playing for Brazil for just a few weeks, forcing him to miss most of last season.
The winger returned to the field last month, but was injured again in a match in the Asian Champions League.
His fitness issues have limited him to just seven appearances for Al-Hilal, and it has been reported that they could look to terminate his contract in January.
There is talk of an emotional return to his boyhood club Santos, but an agreement has yet to be reached.
Fellow Brazilian team Palmeiras have also been linked with Neymar, but club president Leila Pereira recently ruled out a move for the playmaker.
“I want to invest in someone who can come in straight away and who can start tomorrow if the coach decides,” Pereira told Brazil's UOL.
'Palmeiras is not a medical department. “I do not accept that a player signed by Palmeiras is not ready to play straight away.”
Now Neymar has bought a luxury property in Dubai, suggesting he may be staying in the Middle East for a while longer.
