Como talent Nico Paz admits that he 'really wants to continue' in the Serie A, but he is worried about Madrid by confessing that his dream is to play alongside Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
The 20-year-old was a product of the Real Madrid Youth Academy and came to Como for € 6 million last summer.
However, the Spanish giants have 50 percent of their future selling costs, or can buy it back for between € 9-11 million of the summer from 2025 to 2027.
“It was a big change for me, because with Real Madrid I had played in the lower competitions and youth teams,” Nico Paz told the official Como website.
“It was a very difficult change to make, but also a wonderful one. I am adjustment and really want to continue.”
Nico Paz enjoys life in Como
This season he is impressed by the Serie A with six goals and seven assists in 30 performances under Coach Cesc Fabregas.
As part of the interview alongside como -teammate Assane Diao, Nico Paz was asked to call the dream player with whom he would like to work, but the reaction was a bit surprising.
“I was lucky to play in Real Madrid, the best club in the world, and to do it alongside people like Vinicius and Jude Bellingham. If I had to call another one, I would say Lamine Yamal, he is one of the best in the world.”
Given that Yamal plays for the arch rivals of Real Madrid Barcelona, it is an unexpected choice for the Argentina international.
Another dream has already come true, because he was in the same team as countryman Lionel Messi.
“That was the best moment of my life so far. It was incredible, playing with the best in history. I am so happy and grateful that I have experienced this moment,” Nico Paz familiar.
